Mary Jose Cristerna, a mother and fashion designer from Mexico, better known for her tattoos and extreme body modifications, including titanium horn implants on her forehead and fangs that give her a vampire-like appearance, visited this year's Bogota tattoo convention. Cristerna began modifying her body at the age of 21, apparently after a troubling break-up with her husband. She is now remarried, works as a lawyer and is a proud mother of four, according to an interview she conducted with Caracol Radio. The Vampire Woman travels the world attending events like the one in Bogota, on invitations from various businesses. Her goal is to spread the word about not being prejudiced as well as to hawk a Gothic clothing line she launched months back.
